Professor Wendy
Kline gave a series of talks on her recent book,
Bodies of Knowledge, at Tulane University in New Orleans from January
23-25, 2013. The series, titled “Reexamining
the Pelvic: The Pelvic Instruction Controversy of the 1970s,” focused on
the controversies over women’s reproductive rights, gynecological care, and the
female body during the 1970s. It was sponsored by Tulane’s
Department of History, VOX,
and the Newcomb College Institute. For
